Abstract:
A method for evaluating a surface hydration inhibitor for a drilling fluid by low-field nuclear magnetic resonance, comprising: adding a surface hydration inhibitor to fully hydrated clay, performing low-field nuclear magnetic resonance measurement on the clay treated by the surface hydration inhibitor to obtain a transverse relaxation time T2 spectrum, and calculating integral areas of three peaks in the T2 spectrum in three intervals of 0.001-0.01 ms, 1-10 ms, and 100-1000 ms, wherein the integral areas of the peaks in the T2 spectrum correspond to semaphores of water in a certain state; and calculating the mass of water in each state in the clay according to a conversion line of the semaphores of water and water mass, so as to quantitatively evaluate the inhibition effect of the surface hydration inhibitor for a drilling fluid on surface hydration of the clay. By means of the method, the inhibition effect of a surface hydration inhibitor for a drilling fluid on surface hydration of clay can be intuitively and quantitatively determined.
