Abstract:

A method for examining feces occult blood with good accuracy irrespective of the feces sampling precision. When hemoglobin and/or transferrin, which is a marker of feces occult blood is measured, the amount of feces sampled is corrected with an index for correcting the amount of faces. That is, along with the measurement of the amount of feces, a signal generated by optical measurement of the amount of indigenous substance in the sampled feces which can be an index and/or a suspension of the sampled feces is measured. The measurement value of the index is controlled to convert the measurement value of the feces occult blood marker.
