Abstract:
A portable electronic apparatus according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: an icon generating unit configured to generate guide icons including individual function icons displayed in a region divided into nine smaller regions and displayed in first to eighth regions among the nine smaller regions except for a central region; a function setting unit configured to set first to eighth vectors having directional components that are directed toward the central region from the first to eighth regions, and to match the functions of the individual function icons with the first to eighth vectors; a display unit configured to display the guide icons on a display screen; a sensing unit configured to receive input of a user gesture to detect a directional component of the gesture; a vector matching unit configured to determine, from among the directional components of the first to eighth vectors, a vector having a directional component that corresponds to the directional component of the gesture; a function executing unit configured to execute the function corresponding to the determined vector; a control unit configured to control the icon generating unit, the function setting unit, the display unit, the sensing unit, the vector matching unit and the function executing unit; and a memory configured to be executed by the control unit, and to store programs for operating the icon generating unit, the function setting unit, the display unit, the sensing unit, the vector matching unit and the function executing unit.
