Abstract:
A game machine which has solved the problem of unnaturally displaying a character who bursts into or participates a singles or team game and is controlled by the player, for playing a game by controlling the movement on the screen of a display of at least one character out of the characters displayed on the screen in accordance with the operation of the player in coordination of the other characters. The game machine includes control means for executing/controlling a game program and a memory holding the coordinates of specific positions on the scene developed by the execution of the game program and displayed on the screen. When detecting a request of participation of a character, the control means retrieves the coordinates of the position of the involved character displayed on the screen and allows the participating character operated by the player to appear and be displayed at a specific place which is close to the position of the involved character out of the specific positions.
