Abstract:
A method for extracting iron and titanium with a ferrotitanium complex ore as a raw material and filtering device. As to the method, a carbon-containing reducing agent is added into the ferrotitanium complex ore raw material, wherein reduction is carried out by heating the obtained mixture to a high temperature after uniformly mixing in argon or air atmosphere to reduce the iron component therein to metal iron and convert a titanium component to one or both of titanium oxycarbide and titanium oxycarbonitride. Molten iron can be directly separated by depositing same at the bottom due to a higher specific gravity. A slag phase dispersed with titanium oxycarbide and titanium oxycarbonitride particles is filtered and separated after being formulated at high temperature by means of a filter screen, and finally a titanium oxycarbide (oxycarbonitride) product with a grade higher than 95% is obtained. Moreover, further provided is a filtering device suitable for the above-mentioned method. The device has a porous layered filtering material with a high melting point and low activity.
