Title:
METHOD FOR EXTRACTING SUBSTANCE FROM FECES SAMPLE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2017/043087
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a more effective method for extracting substances from a feces sample. More specifically, the purpose of the present invention is to provide a method for extracting substances from a feces sample, the method being appropriate for performing analyses such as metabolomic analysis involving mass spectrography or nuclear magnetic resonance spectrometry, and metabolomic analysis involving a next-generation sequencer. A method for extracting one or more substances from a feces sample, the method characterized in comprising steps A-C below: step A: a step for acquiring a liquid suspension by suspending a feces sample in any of the following solvents (a)-(g): (a) a solvent containing an aqueous solvent and a hydrophilic organic solvent: (b) a solvent containing an aqueous solvent and a hydrophobic organic solvent: (c) a solvent containing an aqueous solvent, a hydrophilic organic solvent, and a hydrophobic organic solvent: (d) a solvent containing a hydrophilic organic solvent: (e) a solvent containing a hydrophobic organic solvent: (f) a solvent containing a hydrophilic organic solvent and a hydrophobic organic solvent: (g) a solvent containing water; step B: a step for collecting a liquid layer containing the solvent from the liquid suspension; and step C: a step for obtaining one or more substances after removing proteins from the liquid layer.
