Abstract:
A method for extraction of gold and silver from a mineral raw material provides for sorption leaching of the pulped raw material in a cascade of installations and subsequent multi-stage desorption of gold, silver and admixtures from a saturated synthetic sorbent (resin) containing ion-exchange groups. Cyanic salts are charged into the installations discretely while maintaining in them an identical salt concentration required for a given raw material, and during desorption the fractions rich in gold and silver are extracted to be used for obtaining the finished product. The methods of sorption provide for separate desorption of gold, silver and admixtures. Before sorption leaching, a preliminary cyanidation is carried out, and in the case of presence in the raw material of natural sorbents the synthetic sorbent is fed into the pulp before charging the cyanic salts into it.
