Title:
METHOD FOR FABRICATING THERMIONIC CATHODE MATERIAL
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2017/213282
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Proposed is a method for fabricating a thermionic cathode material and, more specifically, an invention relating to a method for fabricating a thermionic cathode material by utilizing an injection molding process that allows for conferring a homogeneous microstructure and a near-net shape control, whereby the thermionic cathode material can be improved in thermionic emission characteristics and can be easily fabricated. The method for fabricating a thermionic cathode material according to the present invention comprises the steps of: mixing a raw material with a binder to prepare a mixture; injection molding the mixture by use of a near-net shape mold; removing the binder from a molded body injected through the injection molding; sintering the binder-removed, molded body; impregnating the sintered body, that is, the sintered, molded body with a thermion activator; and machining the impregnated body, that is, the impregnated, sintered body, to form a thermionic emission surface thereon.
