Abstract:
Makeup water is treated through, arranged in sequence, water softening unit
(53) with a resin unit group including multiple resin units filled with a sodium
cation exchange resin, crossflow filter unit (55) with a reverse osmosis membrane
and deoxidization unit (56), and the treated makeup water is stored as a boiler
supply water in water storage tank (40). Between the water softening unit (53)
and the crossflow filter unit (55), the hardness, electrical conductivity and
temperature of makeup water are measured.When the hardness exceeds a given value,
the resin unit is switched to another in the resin unit group. When the electrical
conductivity exceeds a given value, the rate of blow from the crossflow filter
unit (55) is increased. When the water temperature is below a given level, the
flow rate of makeup water is decreased and the makeup water is caused to pass through
the deoxidization unit (56). Accordingly, the makeup water stored in the water
storage tank (40) is effectively deoxidized, and ionic components are effectively
removed, and softened water devoid of hardness components is stably obtained,
so that without addition of chemicals, there can be attained effective inhibition
of any corrosion or scale formation in steam boiler and further attained inhibition
of any carryover.
