Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for filling a tank of a vehicle with gaseous hydrogen from a storage vessel of a supply station, wherein the method comprises the following steps: connection of the storage vessel to the vehicle tank by means of a filling device, the flow of hydrogen through which is regulated by means of a valve controlled by a control device, determination of a parameter value for the heat-dissipation characteristics of the vehicle tank, recurrent sensory detection of actual values of the temperature and the pressure of the hydrogen in the vehicle tank at discrete points in time ti, recurrent determination of a respective forecast value of the temperature and the pressure of the hydrogen introduced into the tank at discrete future points in time ti+1, and periodic determination of the filling state of the vehicle tank during the filling of the vehicle tank. This is intended to make it possible for the supply station to be operated at lower cost and more efficiently. This is achieved according to the invention by an activation signal being emitted to a cooling device designed for cooling the hydrogen that is in the supply station at a point in time ti as soon as at least one actual temperature value of the hydrogen in the vehicle tank detected for a point in time ti exceeds the forecast value of the temperature of the hydrogen in the fuel tank determined for the same point in time ti by a differential limit value determined on the basis of the parameter value, or at least an actual temperature value detected for a point in time t exceeds a first absolute limit value determined on the basis of the parameter value, and also the cold capacity of the cooling device is adjusted for subsequent points in time ti+k, (k#0) in such a way that forecast values of the temperature of the hydrogen in the vehicle tank which are determined for the points in time ti+k do not exceed a second absolute limit value.
