Abstract:
Disclosed is a method for filling a vehicle floor panel structure with a filler material (10). Said vehicle floor panel structure is provided with: a first panel (2) disposed inside the vehicle compartment; a second panel (3) disposed outside the compartment across from and separated from the first panel (2); and a middle panel (4) disposed as so to connect the first panel (2) and second panel (3) and form hollow areas (5, 6). The aforementioned method includes a step that creates openings (7) in the areas of the first panel (2) that correspond to one set of hollow areas (5), and a step that uses said openings (7) to fill those hollow areas (5) with an expandable filler material (10).
