Abstract:
A method of forming an inner liner for tire and process for producing a pneumatic tire
that realize inhibiting of air trapping occurrence and avoiding of complication of
the structure of tire shaping machine with shaping drum. The method of forming an
inner liner for tire is a method of forming tire inner liner (2) having cylindrical film
layer (4), the cylindrical film layer (4) consisting of a thermoplastic resin
or a thermoplastic resin elastomer composition composed of a thermoplastic resin
blended with an elastomer, superimposed on cylindrical inside rubber layer
(3) on its outer circumferential side, which method comprises wrapping unvulcanized
rubber layer (3') in tubular form around shaping drum (1) to thereby form
the cylindrical inside rubber layer (3) and thereafter wrapping sheeted film
layer (4'), the film layer (4') consisting of a thermoplastic resin
or a thermoplastic resin elastomer composition composed of a thermoplastic resin
blended with an elastomer, in tubular form around the cylindrical inside rubber
layer (3) on its outer circumferential side to thereby form the cylindrical film
layer (4). In the process for producing a pneumatic tire, use is made of the above
method of forming an inner liner for tire.
