Abstract:
This method for forming a lipid membrane vesicle comprises: a step for introducing a first aqueous solution to a liquid flow path facing a main surface of a hydrophobic layer of a microreactor chip and filling a chamber with the first aqueous solution; a step for introducing an organic solvent containing a lipid to the liquid flow path and forming a first lipid monolayer film in an opening of the chamber filled with the first aqueous solution; a step for introducing the second aqueous solution to the liquid flow path and forming a second lipid monolayer film on an interface of the organic solvent layer formed on the main surface of the hydrophobic layer with a second aqueous solution; a step for changing the form of the first aqueous solution inside the chamber to spherical droplets covered by the first lipid monolayer film; and a step for forming a lipid membrane vesicle by exerting a physical action on the droplets covered by the first lipid monolayer film and causing the droplets to move to the position of the second lipid monolayer film, and then zipping the first lipid monolayer film covering the droplets and the second lipid monolayer film.
