Abstract:
Provided is a method etc., capable of suitably forming, in a covering body that can cover a member, a reinforced opening that has a favorable appearance. This method for forming an opening (8s) in a back upholstery (8) that can cover a backrest body (7) therefor has: an annular member external side attachment step (S2) for attaching an annular member (T) to the external surface side of a through-hole periphery section (8e) of a rear side covering section (8r); a first annular member reversal step (S3) for reversing the front and back of the annular member (T) that has been subjected to the annular member external side attachment step (S2) so that the inner peripheral side of the annular member is rotated toward the internal side of the rear side covering section (8r), and disposing the annular member (T) on the internal side of the rear side covering section (8r); and a second annular member reversal step (S4) for further reversing the front and back of the annular member (T) that has been subjected to the first annular member reversal step (S3) so that the entirety of the annular member (T) is covered by the rear side covering section (8r) from the external side.
