Abstract:
The object of the present invention is to provide a method for forming a passage for small animals through an existing curbstone, which involves forming a passage for small animals through the main body of the curbstone to enable small animals to pass from a road to a sidewalk and to move to the habitat thereof, thereby actively protecting small animals and preserving the ecosystem around the road. The method for forming a passage for small animals through an existing curbstone comprises: preparing a boring machine (2) for boring a hole through an existing curbstone (1), and boring a hole through the main body (10) of the curbstone (1) in such a manner that an entrance (21) is formed through the front surface (11) of the main body facing a road (B), an exit (22) is formed through the upper surface (13) of the main body facing a sidewalk (C), and a passage (20) for small animals has an overall sloped shape, thereby enabling small animals (A) to pass from the road (B) to the sidewalk (C) through the passage (20) for small animals.
