Abstract:
Provided is a nozzle plate which is excellent in terms of ink repellency and durability in wiping even when an ink that is prone to sticking to nozzle plates is used. This method is for forming a silicone-based cured film on the ink-delivery-side surface of a nozzle plate for ink-jet printers and comprises: (1) the step of preparing a condensation-type silicone composition which contains at least one compound selected from the group consisting of bismuth compounds and cyclic amidine compounds, (2) the step of applying the condensation-type silicone composition to the ink-delivery surface of the nozzle plate to form a coating film, and (3) the step of heating and curing this coating film.
