Provided is a method for forming a temporary prosthesis, said method being an easy method that can be done in a dental clinic and yet enabling the formation of a temporary prosthesis hardly causing damage and abrasion. The present invention has been completed on the basis of a finding that the aforesaid problem can be solved by forming an occlusion face with the use of a composite resin for dental use having a higher strength as a substitute for a room temperature curing resin that has been conventionally used. A method for forming a temporary prosthesis, said method being characterized by comprising: forming a prosthesis model; extracting using an impression material the impression of a molded gypsum tooth model to which the prosthesis model is mounted; applying, in a single layer, a dental composite resin material to a part, said part corresponding to the crown, in the impression that is removed from the molded gypsum tooth model, and then allowing the resin to polymerize; putting into the impression form a powder-liquid mixture of a powder-liquid type room temperature curing resin; and then curing the room temperature curing resin in a state where the molded gypsum tooth model is fitted into the impression again.
