According to the present invention, a layer of a thermal-insulation aluminium coating is applied according to a gaseous thermal spraying method onto the surface of a sheet preform, wherein said layer has a thickness of between 0.08 and 0.30 mm with a granularity ratio of up to 5 %. The coating thus obtained is impregnated with a chemical reactant. After the drying step, the preform is ironed according to a reduction ratio of between 2 and 5 %, followed by a sheet-by-sheet hot rolling process. Before finishing the surface of the sheets thus obtained, the method may involve a hydro-abrasive cleaning from the deformed layer.
