Abstract:
This electronic apparatus comprises: a camera; a light emitting module including one or more light emitting bodies; a memory; and a processor. The processor may be configured to: project structured light, which corresponds to a designated structured light pattern, onto an external object by using the light emitting module, wherein the designated structured light pattern includes a plurality of first polygons distributed according to a designated rule and a plurality of second polygons connecting at least a portion of the plurality of first polygons on the basis of a designated repeating grid pattern; use the camera to obtain an image formed by the structured light being reflected from the external object; identify the designated repeating grid pattern and the portion of the first polygons on the basis of the obtained image; restore another unidentified portion of the first polygons on the basis of the identified designated repeating grid pattern and the identified portion of the first polygons; and generate depth information about the external object on the basis of the positions of the portion of the first polygons and the other restored portion of the first polygons. Other embodiments are also possible.
