Abstract:
In the present state of the art, the visibility of GUIs of management software has decreased as the number of managed objects has increased and as the relationship between these managed objects has become increasingly complicated. One problem with the prior art is that the screen of a GUI may not be able to display all display names of managed devices that are to be displayed. In order to address this problem, the present invention changes the original display names of managed objects to suit the manager's purpose using labels formed by one or more morphemes, which are obtained by dividing the original display names, and further using priority and topology information associated with each label, and displays the changed display names within display regions provided on the screen, thereby improving the clarity and readability of the GUI.
