Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for generating a filter for an audio signal and a parameterization device for same. The present invention provides a method for generating a filter for an audio signal and a parameterization device for same, the method being characterized by comprising the steps of: receiving at least one time-domain BRIR filter coefficient for the binaural filtering of the input audio signal; obtaining propagation time information on the time-domain BRIR filter coefficient(s), wherein the propagation time information indicates the time of the BRIR filter coefficient(s) from an initial sample to a direct sound; generating a plurality of sub-band filter coefficients by QMF-converting the time-domain BRIR filter coefficient(s) after the obtained propagation time information; obtaining filter order information for determining the cutting length of the sub-band filter coefficients by using at least a part of characteristic information extracted from the sub-band filter coefficients; and cutting the sub-band filter coefficients on the basis of the obtained filter order information.
