Abstract:
In a generator (1) for hypochlorous acid water, raw water is branched into first and second branched pipes (3, 4), fixed quantities of a prescribed concentration of a sodium hypochlorite aqueous solution is intermittently supplied into the raw water flowing in the first branched pipe (3) using a first metering pump (31), the aqueous solution is stirred and mixed, and a uniformly diluted aqueous solution of sodium hypochlorite is obtained. Fixed quantities of a prescribed concentration of hydrochloric acid is intermittently supplied into the raw water flowing in the second branched pipe (4) using a second metering pump (32), the hydrochloric acid is stirred and mixed, and uniformly diluted hydrochloric acid is obtained. The diluted aqueous solution of sodium hypochlorite and the diluted hydrochloric acid are stirred and mixed to generate hypochlorous acid water at a prescribed concentration and pH. With a simple configuration, hypochlorous acid water at a prescribed pH value and concentration can be generated without generating toxic gas.
