Abstract:
A method for generating a lattice vector quantization codebook and an apparatus thereof are provided. The method comprises: storing a feature vector set which comprises mutually different amplitude vectors and/or length vectors corresponding to the root leader item of a lattice vector (101); storing the addresses in which the amplitude vectors and the length vectors corresponding to the root leader item are stored in the feature vector set(102); generating the lattice vector quantization codebook according to the feature vector set and the stored addresses (103). In the embodiments, the relativity of the codebooks among the lattice vector quantizers having different code bit numbers are utilized, only the mutually different feature vectors among the lattice vector quantizers having different code bit numbers are stored, and the storage space of a multi-rate coding lattice vector quantizer is decreased in the process of generating the codebook.
