The invention relates to the use of a book-entry security stored in a memory zone of a portable device, comprising the following steps: the establishment of a secure communication channel between the portable device and a third-party device that implements transactions for debiting securities; the transmission of the security to the third-party device; the establishment of a communication between the third-party device and a collection centre; and the transfer of the security from the third-party device to the collection centre.
