Title:
METHOD FOR HYDROTHERMAL OXIDATION TREATMENT FOR ORGANIC HALOGEN COMPOUND AND CATALYST THEREFOR
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2014/080739
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Provided are: a method for treatment of an organic halogen compound, said method necessitating neither a large-scale treatment device nor a high operation cost and enabling efficient decomposition treatment of the organic halogen compound; and a catalyst which is to be used in the method. In this method, the decomposition treatment of an organic halogen compound is conducted by heating the organic halogen compound to 100 to 200ºC in the presence of both a catalyst comprising a copper oxide and hydrogen peroxide and thereby decomposing the compound through hydrothermal oxidation according to the Fenton method.
