Abstract:
The subject of the invention is a method of identifying urinary tract infection in children of 2 years old and younger (NBT nappy test) based on using a reagent containing nitrotetrazolium blue is characterized by the fact that the reagent containing nitrotrazolium blue, Hepes buffer and Triton X-100 is applied directly to urine in diapers, with a positive result in the form of an infection of the urinary tract of the child following a change in color from yellow to blue-violet. The subject matter of the invention is also a reagent for use in the manner in which it is applied.
