Abstract:
A method and system for identification of time-based risks arising from applying change to business operational services, used to aid decision making during the implementation of changes and enhance the protection of service availability. The method is a combination of plan definition and tracking set against key service schedule times and evaluated on a regular time-sensitive basis. Completion times for plan tasks are forecast for the implementation change plan and also for required change back-out positions. The forecast timings may then be validated against pre-defined schedule times for the service e.g. agreed change times, approved maintenance windows, to identify and communicate time-based risks during a change implementation.
