A method for identifying feature information about an operator. The method comprises: acquiring a press signal indicative of pressing, by a user operator, a touch screen of an electronic device; determining, according to the press signal, a press area of the operator; judging whether a press period of time of the press area of the operator exceeds a pre-set period of time; determining feature information about the operator corresponding to the press area if the press period of time exceeds the pre-set period of time; and matching the feature information about the operator with locally stored feature information, so as to acquire the identification result. The method simplifies a palm identification process for feature information about an operator, and improves the efficiency and accuracy of palm print feature information identification. Also provided are an electronic device (500), a safety device (30, 540), and a palm print identification apparatus.
