Abstract:
The present invention discloses a method for encoding/decoding an image and an apparatus therefor. Specifically, a method for a decoding apparatus decoding an image may comprise the steps of: parsing a quantisation unit (QU) split flag indicating whether the QU is split from a current block; deriving a split format of the QU if the QU split flag is activated; and deriving a quantisation parameter (QP) for each split QU.
