Abstract:
An image decoding method and an image decoding device capable of implementing this decoding method can be provided, the image decoding method including: a step of determining at least one first block obtained by dividing a current frame that is one of at least one frame included in an image; a step of determining a first prediction mode indicating an intra prediction method to be performed in a current first block on the basis of first intra prediction mode information acquired from a bit stream, when intra prediction is performed on a current first block that is one of the at least one first block; a step of determining a plurality of second blocks included in the current first block; a step of determining a second prediction mode indicating an intra prediction method to be performed in the plurality of second blocks on the basis of at least one of the first prediction mode and second intra prediction mode information acquired from a bit stream for each of the plurality of second blocks; and a step of decoding the image by performing intra prediction based on the first prediction mode and the second prediction mode. In addition, an image encoding method for performing a method opposite or similar to the image decoding method, and an image encoding device capable of performing the image encoding method can be provided.
