Title:
METHOD FOR IMMOBILIZING AND RELEASING MICROORGANISM
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2014/156736
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a more practical technique for immobilizing a microorganism using Acinetobacter sp. Tol 5-derived adhesive protein AtaA. Provided is a method for attaching and detaching a microorganism, said method comprising: (1) a step for contacting a microorganism, into which DNA encoding autotransporter adhesin derived from a microorganism belonging to the genus Acinetobacter has been transferred to impart non-specific adhesiveness thereto or enhance non-specific adhesiveness thereof, with a carrier at a high ionic strength and thus attaching the microorganism to the carrier; and (2) a step for washing the carrier at a low ionic strength and thus releasing the microorganism from the carrier.
