Title:
METHOD FOR IMMUNOLOGICALLY ASSAYING HEMOGLOBIN A1C IN SPECIMEN
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2014/112318
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Disclosed is a means whereby hemoglobin A1c in a whole blood sample can be immunologically assayed without preliminarily treating the sample. According to the present invention, the immunoassay of hemoglobin A1c in a specimen comprises contacting latex particles with a whole blood specimen, said whole blood specimen having not been preliminarily treated, in a hypotonic solution, and then contacting hemoglobin A1c adsorbed on the surface of the latex particles with anti-hemoglobin A1c antibody. The immunoassay is preferably carried out by the aggregation method. The hypotonic solution is, for example, a buffer solution containing a good buffer, which shows the maximum buffer capacity in the neutral to alkaline side, at a concentration of 0.02-0.2 mol/L.
