Abstract:

　Provided are a highly safe and efficient method for imparting heat sealability to a biaxially oriented polyester film, and a method for producing a packaging container using the same. Heat sealability is imparted to the surface of a layer of biaxially oriented polyester in a prescribed region by irradiating while scanning laser light over a prescribed region of a film comprising a layer of biaxially oriented polyester alone or a laminate including a layer of biaxially oriented polyester on at least one surface.
