Title:
A METHOD FOR IMPLEMENTING SERVICES ON NETWORK ELEMENTS BASED ON MULTIPLE NETWORK ELEMENT ADDRESSES
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2005/067206
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The invention discloses a method for implementing services based on multiple network element addresses on network elements in ASON, which comprises: the network element sets the element address corresponding to the new service to be the active address locally; the network element advertises the address information which includes the active address currently set by itself to the network through the route protocol; the neighbor network element obtains the new active address of the traffic engineering link opposite element, regarding said active address as the new opposite end active address of said traffic engineering link, and advertises the link information including the new opposite end active address and the current active address of the local end to the network; when it's need to implement the new service, the route is calculated based on the new active addresses, and the new service is completed based on the calculated result. With this method, we can create new services on the network elements in ASON based on the element address set newly while ensuring the primary services to be implemented normally.
