Abstract:
Disclosed is a method for impregnating a superconducting coil (1), wherein the superconducting coil (1) is impregnated with an epoxy resin (8), said superconducting coil having a superconducting wire rod (3) wound on a cylindrical winding frame (2). The method includes: a vacuumizing step, wherein the inside of a container (5) containing the superconducting coil (1) is subjected to vacuum; a resin injecting step, wherein the epoxy resin (8) in the liquid state is injected into the container (5) having been subjected to vacuum; and a rotating and heating step, wherein the superconducting coil (1) taken out from the container (5) having the epoxy resin (8) injected thereinto is heated, while rotating the superconducting coil with the axis of the winding frame (2) at the center in the state wherein the axis direction (A) of the winding frame (2) is substantially horizontal.
