Abstract:
A method for improving the germination of a plant seed, comprising the low-temperature contacting step in which the plant seed is contacted with a plant growth regulator and water at a temperature below 10˚C, the treatment time of the step being shorter than 24 hours; a method for improving the germination of a plant seed, comprising (1) the low temperature contacting step in which the plant seed is contacted with a plant growth regulator and water at a temperature below 10˚C and (2) the low temperature storing step in which the plant seed given after the step (1) is stored at a temperature below 10˚C, the sum of the treatment time of the step (1) and the treatment time of the step (2) being shorter than 24 hours; and others.
