Title:
METHOD FOR IMPROVING ADHESION BETWEEN POLYESTER FILM AND AQUEOUS DISPERSION AND PROCESS FOR MANUFACTURING POLYESTER FILM
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2012/176829
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A process for manufacturing a polyester film, characterized by comprising: a step of subjecting a surface of a resin film substrate comprising a polyester as the main component to corona treatment; a post-heating step of subjecting the corona-treated resin film substrate to heat treatment at a temperature that exceeds the Tg of the resin film substrate and is up to the Tmeta thereof; and a step of applying a polymer solution onto the corona-treated surface of the resin film substrate. In the process, Tg is glass transition temperature, and Tmeta is a minute endothermic peak (unit: °C) as observed in differential scanning calorimetry). The process can improve the adhesion between a resin film comprising a polyester as the main component and a coating layer, and achieves excellent film production.
