Abstract:
A method for improving the cooling capacity of a direct air cooling system of power plants involves the following steps: connecting a motor into an electric network voltage by a transformer in the cooling system, and outputting a voltage to the motor so that its working voltage is 380-390 V; outputting a frequency of 40-47 Hz to the motor by a frequency converter in the cooling system; driving a fan to rotate at a setting speed ratio via a reducer by the motor that operates at the voltage of 380-390 V and the frequency of 40-47 Hz; transporting the cooling wind produced by the rotation of the fan to a heat radiator. By the method, the output torque of the motor is increased and the regulation range of the fan is widened, so as to improve the cooling capacity of the direct air cooling system.
