Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for determining melt down in a DC electric furnace, and comprises: a skilled person experience melt down time point suggestion step of transmitting and receiving a measurement signal at a point in time of determining melt down according to the skill level of a worker in a DC electric furnace; a current voltage measurement step of providing a stability function by measuring a current and voltage through an amount of power consumed; a set current voltage accumulated power amount transmission and reception step of transmitting and receiving an accumulated amount of power consumed as a PLC signal through a set current and voltage; a basic data signal input step of providing basic details of the DC electric furnace; a melt down determination step of determining melt down through transmitted and received data and basic data; a variable modification step of modifying variables being generated, through data measured in the melt down determination step; and a melt down determination time output step of outputting measured data and time determined in the melt down determination step. Therefore, the present invention has the effects of: stabilizing noise and vibration due to an unstable arc as well as stabilizing power, by measuring dynamic impedance required during operation of a DC electric furnace; significantly reducing an amount of power by stabilizing power; significantly reducing T-T from scrap charging to molten steel tapping; most reliably determining melt down; significantly improving the determination accuracy of melt down by quantitatively calculating a thermal image vision to accurately determine melt down; and identifying a state of melt down in real time.
