Abstract:
A raw material graphite film, which has an uneven surface, suffered from defects, such as creases, when laminated with another material. Particularly, when the graphite film has a large area, the likelihood of defects, such as creases, to be produced increased. A raw material graphite film is subjected to a flatness correction treatment in which the raw material graphite film is heated to 2000°C or higher while being applied with pressure. A graphite film exhibiting excellent flatness can be obtained by means of said flatness correction treatment. Moreover, when the correction treatment is performed by using the thermal expansion of the core, a graphite film which has less sagging can be obtained.
