Abstract:
Provided are a method for improving the transmissivity of an organic substrate by directly forming a coating film on the surface of the organic substrate without forming a primer layer, and a coating film for improving transmissivity. A method for improving the transmissivity of a transparent or semitransparent organic substrate comprises: a step for applying a coating fluid to the organic substrate and drying the coating fluid; and a step for forming a coating film of the coating fluid to a predetermined dry film thickness, wherein the coating fluid comprises an inorganic compound containing silicon dioxide, an organic compound, alcohol and water. If a dry film formed by applying the coating fluid to one surface of the organic substrate is a film comprising an aggregate of silicon dioxide particulates, and the thickness of the dry film comprising the aggregate of silicon dioxide particulates is in a range of 45-200 nm, the transmissivity after the application of the coating fluid can be made higher than the transmissivity before the application thereof by 1.5% or more.
