Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for inducing differentiation of corneal epithelial cells from pluripotent stem cells. More specifically, the present invention relates to a method in which pluripotent stem cells such as human iPS cells are made to autonomously differentiate into an ectodermal cell type on a serum-free medium without the use of feeder cells and the differentiation of obtained ocular surface ectodermal lineage cells into corneal epithelial cells is induced.
