Abstract:
This ring-shaped member is inductively heated by supplying an electrical current to an induction coil. An inductive heating step includes inductively heating the ring-shaped member using an induction coil (17) disposed radially inward of the ring-shaped member in a state in which no substantial coil is disposed radially outward of the ring-shaped member, or inductively heating the ring-shaped member using an induction coil (18) disposed radially outward of the ring-shaped member in a state in which no substantial coil is disposed radially inward of the ring-shaped member. The effective length of the induction coils (17, 18) is set so as to be greater than the axial length of the ring-shaped member.
