Abstract:
Disclosed are a method for installing an application and a system for installing an application. The method for installing an application comprises obtaining a package name of an application package and message digest information (S100); sending the package name and the message digest information to a server for verification (S110); comparing the package name with a pre-set package name; when the package name is the same as the pre-set package name, comparing the message digest information with pre-set message digest information; when the message digest information is the same as the pre-set message digest information, feeding back a verification result indicating that installation is allowed; and when the package name is different from the pre-set package name, feeding back a verification result indicating that installation is aborted; receiving a verification result of the server (S120); and responding to the verification result to determine whether to install an application (S130). Installation of an application is limited by verifying a signature and package name of an application package, so that the application installation process is stricter, thereby enhancing the security of operating systems, such as an Android system.
