Title:
METHOD, INSTRUMENT AND APPARATUS FOR BOWLS PRODUCTION
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2004/108378
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
For production of the bowls for vases from stone (4), ivory and wood we take an instrument in form of a hoop (5) and move it to material (4 ) along an arc, tangential to central axis (14) of the hoop (5). Stone (1) and ivory we cut mechanically, sawing its by means of instrument (5) in form of close (uninterrupted) hoop (5) with cutting elements (abrasive corns, tooth) on its borders. The instrument (5) we turn by rollers (6,7), which press a hoop wall, having a round corrugation for the best keeping by rollers. The bowls from wood we burn by means of one or (simultaneously) several open hoops heated by electric current. From one peace of stone (4 ), ivory or wood we can make a packet of elliptic bowls with different sizes.

Description:
METHOD, INSTRUMENT AND APPARATUS FOR BOWLS PRODUCTION The invention relates to production of the bowls for vases from stone, ivory and wood by means of figure cutting of material.

Known method of the bowls production from stone, ivory and wood by means of figure cutting was described by the same author in his Patent RU 2074810, inventor Alexander Turin, priority from 21.01. 1992, published 10. 03.1997 in Bul. 7.

According to that patent the bowls in form of spherical segment are produced by means of a saw in form of spherical segment.

The aim of present invention is to make the bowls in form of thor segment (a vertical projection of the bowls is elliptical).

This is achieved thanks to the method, that we take an instrument in form of hoop and move it to material along an arc, tangential to central axis of the hoop.

For cutting of stone and ivory the instrument is made in form of close (uninterrupted) hoop with cutting elements (abrasive corns, tooth) on its borders.

Wood bowls are made of thermal cutting (burning). The instrument has form of open (with interval) hoop and is heated by an electric current.

Using two three or several instruments with different sizes, we may burn a packet of wood bowls simultaneously.

Let us see the examples of realization, which are presented on the following drawings: Figures 1 and 2 show two projections of an apparatus for sawing of the stone bowls.

Figure 3 shows a keeping of the instrument.

Figure 4 shows a provisional fixation of the stone bowl before it separation.

Figures 5 and 6 show two projections of an apparatus for burning of the wooden bowls.

Figure 7 shows an instrument for simultaneous burning of three wooden bowls.

On Figures 1and 2 we see the stone bowl 1 having thor-form surfaces: internal one 3 that was cut earlier and external surface 2, presented in process of cutting from block of stone 4 by means of instrument 5 in form of close (uninterrupted) hoop.

A wall of the instrument 5 is pressed by means of passive rollers 6 to drive rollers 7, which are turned by electric motor, installed inside of a body 8.

On Figure 2 we see that the rollers 6 and 7 keep the instrument asymmetrically, on one side from a central axis 14 of the hoop 5.

The body 8 is installed on parallel rods 10.

A screw 12 regulates a distance between the instrument 5 and a shaft 12.

The shaft 12 is installed vertical, therefore we can begin the cutting with minimal strength and speed.

We can see that the instrument 5 moves along the arc 13, tangential to central axis 14 of the hoop 5, making the cut 15 with surfaces of thor.

Figure 3 shows in section the wall of the instrument 5 with corrugation 16, which ensures a stability axis position of the instrument 5 on relation to rollers 6 and 7.

We see a border 19 with abrasive corns for cutting of stone.

Figure 4 shows a plaster plumb 21 with fiber, winded around a wood a wedge 20, which prevent a break off the stone before than the cut 15 will be finished. When we are ready to accept the cut off bowl 1, we hit on the wedge 20 by a wood hammer, breaking off the plumb 21.

Figures 5 and 6 show the wooden bowl 22 in a process of the thermal cut (burning) by means of instrument 23 in form of open (with interval) hoop 24, heated by the electric current.

A block of electric isolation 25 separates the instrument 23,29 and a hang 26, which is installed on vertical shaft 12.

Holes 27 regulate a distance between the shaft 12 and a block of wood 28.

The ends of the open hoop 23 are fitted in holders 29 with contacts 30 for putting the instrument 23 to electric circuit.

Figure 6 shows that the hoop 23 may be turned around the axis of the shaft 12 along the arc 13, which is tangential to central axis 14 of the hoop 23 (the arc 13 and the axis 14 are placed in one flatness).

We see also a scotch tape 31, which keeps the bowl 22 in moment before separation and prevent the break off a last part of wood between the bowl 22 and the block of the wood 28.

Figure 7 shows the instrument with four open hoops 23.

The ends of the hoops 23 are fitted in the holders 29, united to the electric circuit successive.

By means of that instrument it is possible to burn three wooden bowls simultaneously.
