Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for introducing insulation material into profiled sections having hollow chambers, in particular profiled sections for windows or doors. First, the profiled section (1) having at least one hollow chamber (2, 2') is molded using an extrusion process, whereupon at least one insulating profiled section (3) is inserted into at least one hollow chamber (2). The insulated profiled section (3) is smaller than the hollow chamber (2) and is immobilized in the hollow chamber (2) via at least one opening (4) in the hollow chamber wall (8). The invention also relates to a profiled section (1) having hollow chambers.
