Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for introducing a reagent into an exhaust gas channel of an internal combustion engine (10) and to a device for carrying out said method. According to the invention, at least one pressure sensor (20, 22) is diagnosed. In at least one first time interval (t8, t10) in which a stationary pressure state is expected it is checked whether the pressure signal (21, 23) at least approximately corresponds to the stationary pressure (100, 107). In at least one second time interval (t9, t11) in which a pressure change occurs it is checked whether the pressure signal (21, 23) at least approximately corresponds to a predetermined test pressure (104, 108) and/or at least approximately has a predetermined change as compared to the stationary pressure (100, 107). An error signal (72) is output if at least one of the conditions is not met.
