Abstract:
A method for IP FAX implement synchronous switch includes steps:The media gateway which firstly detectes fax event at user side transmits notification message of fax event to the opposite media gateway; The media gateway which firstly detectes fax event at user side switches to fax mode; Received said notification message of fax event,said opposite media gateway switchs to fax mode. Because media gataway at transmitting side or receiving side transmits notification message of fax event to the opposite media gateway,the method of this invention for IP FAX implement synchronous switch result in that media gateways of two sides can switch synchroically,so IP FAX has characters that better compatibility, high reliability and synchronous switch,and overcomes the disadvantage of previous art,and more particularly prevents fax failure created by difference of bearing network routing and cross-domain.
