The present invention relates to a method for issuing an electronic receipt, and more particularly, to a method for issuing an electronic receipt without a paper receipt, which involves transmitting an electronic receipt, including payment details or a key value corresponding to the electronic receipt information, to the mobile terminal of a customer after a product is purchased or a service is received. The method for issuing an electronic receipt according to the present invention includes: making a payment by transmitting payment detail information from the terminal of the merchant to a payment server, and requesting payment authorization when the customer purchases a product or receives a service from the merchant; transmitting payment detail information from the payment server to an operating server when the payment at the terminal of the merchant is completed by the payment server; generating and storing an electronic receipt on the basis of the payment detail information in the operating server; and confirming the electronic receipt information by transmitting the electronic receipt from the operating server to the mobile terminal of the customer and receiving said electronic receipt at the mobile terminal of the customer.
