Title:
METHOD OF KEEPING THE FRESHNESS OF ANIMAL AND PLANT BY USING RICE STARCH HEATED WITH WATER
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2005/102077
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
[PROBLEMS] There has been no method of harvesting plants such as vegetables, fruits and flowers and animals, disassembling the same and then keeping the freshness thereof at ordinary temperature. For storing plants and animals, therefore, it is needed to remove moisture therefrom or store them at a low temperature, i.e., in a state largely differing from the natural state. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] Freshness can be successfully kept for several months to about two years by coating a rice starch gel and a viscous liquid or a liquefied rice starch gel to a subject material to be treated or dipping the material therein to thereby inhibit enzyme actions and prevent moisture evaporation.
